Computer Technology
You know what’s in your computer?
Maybe you peeked at the service technician was installing something for you. When you first open up the CPU and look inside a computer is a machine very threatening. But once you know about the various components that make up a complete computer it is a lot easier. Today’s computers consist of about eight major components, some of the advanced computers may have a few parts. What are these eight key components and what are they used? We will start with beginner information for you to start. First is the Power Supply. The power is used to provide electricity to all of the components in your computer. It is usually a rectangular box and is usually placed in one corner of the computer. To search for certain, look to see where the power plugs in the back of the computer and you’ve found the food. Most power supplies have power and are now calculated in increments of 50 watts (500 watts, 550, 600, etc
Second is the motherboard. All components are connected to the motherboard, it doesn’t mean that the brain of the computer. Yes, it takes the brains and helps with all other parts of the machine. The third and very important part of a computer is the CPU (Central Processing Unit), better known as the brain of the computer and nothing will happen without it. All major calculations performed by a computer implemented within the CPU. It is also responsible for the activation and control the activities of other units of the system. The faster the CPU can do these calculations and give the right answers, the faster the computer is running on the user. CPU’s are now measured in gigahertz (GHz) and are currently among our 3.8GHz or faster
A fourth component is the RAM (Random Access Memory). RAM is used as temporary storage for the computer works. We have different types of RAM with different speeds, but it should match your motherboard, so that it can work. The more RAM you have in your computer, your computer will work better.
